Hotel Booking Terms and Conditions


Hotel Policy:
  1. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.
  2. You are required to present your photo-identity proof while checking-in. Indian Nationals can present any of the following for domestic bookings : Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card. A Pan Card is not acceptable. Cash Settlements for Indian Nationals of INR 25000 and above will require a pan card copy during check out. Foreign Nationals are required to present their passport and valid visa.
  3. In case of international travel, it is mandatory to carry the passport for all passengers.
  4. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a 'couple' if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. VIA will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  5. In case of No-show, the entire booking is non-refundable.
  6. Late check-in must be notified in advance to Via.com. Otherwise the entire or partial booking will be subject to "No Show" policy.
  7. Extra-person charges will apply and vary depending on hotel policy.
  8. Extra charge will be applicable for change in room category or upgrade, depending on hotel policy.
  9. The inclusion of 'extra bed' with a booking is facilitated with a folding cot or mattress or a bed roll, as an extra bed.
  10. If the booking includes any of the meal plans then the choice of food arrangement is purely at the discretion of the hotel. Also, the hotel reserves the right to serve the food at the restaurant. For instance, if the booking includes breakfast, then hotel may offer the same as a fixed menu at the restaurant. Anything else may be chargeable.
  11. Guest has to carry the voucher till he checks out of the hotel along with a valid ID proof.

Via does not own any hotels /resorts and hence is not liable for any damages or loss arising out of negligence /lapse in service by hotels/resorts, except for negligence/lapse by the Via’s employees or deficiency in services, attributable to the Via which is within the control of Via's business operations and services. Any dispute regarding the service provided by hotel needs to be taken up directly with such hotels or resort.

The charges are applicable for the above mentioned length of stay and not beyond that. Any extension of stay will be charged as per the tariff rates of such hotel or at the discretion of such hotel.

Allotment of rooms is a pure discretion of the hotel & Via doesn’t have any control on the same(For e.g.: If five rooms are booked, hotel may allot three rooms on the first floor& rest two rooms on the second floor. The same applies for all multiple room bookings).

VIA support:

In absolutely remote cases and circumstances, if Hotel, where Via has confirmed the accommodation to Customer, declines the availability at the time of check-in to the Customer for any reason whatsoever, Via shall be liable for the following, which is in an all inclusive list for options/ remedy to be provided by Via to the Customer in such cases:

  1. In such case where the hotel has declined to provide accommodation at the time of check in, although Via provided the confirmation to the Customer, the same has to be brought to the notice of Via immediately. Via shall not charge any cancellation/ retention fee. The same would be adjusted towards providing an alternative accommodation if arranged by Via. In case the customer does his own arrangements Via would refund the entire charges without any deduction.
  2. To arrange alternate Hotel accommodation in the same vicinity/location of similar category.
  3. Further, if the alternate Hotel accommodation arranged by Via is at a higher rate than the original rate so paid by the Customer for the former Hotel accommodation; then Via shall bear the difference of amount to be paid to the latter Hotel.
  4. Travel from the former hotel to the latter shall be arranged by the Customer himself.
  5. Rest of the terms and conditions shall remain same as applicable, which may differ from hotel to hotel.
  6. The rates does not include the mandatory Gala dinner and other mandatory inclusions during Christmas, New year and other events. These charges are to be paid by the guest directly at the hotel.
